"I read "Surviving Sue" and marveled at how Vicki kept herself whole and became such a helper to others. Now I think I know her secret! It's her creativity. She's a spooky storyteller with a knack for weaving family history with magical realism. I enjoyed "Slivers" and I'm inspired to do some digging into my own family now. Who knows what I'll find!"

"I knew Vicki as a colleague in higher ed and when I learned she was writing I wasn't surprised. Slivers was better than I expected for a first-time novelist and I hope Vicki keeps exploring and growing in her writing. I grew up in the 70's, too, and really enjoyed the nostalgia she added to the story."
